Putting forth every effort! Kate Chastain has openly discussed her journey to motherhood and the difficulties associated with her first pregnancy.
The Below Deck alum confirmed her pregnancy in December 2022. "I feel so great. She told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview while promoting her participation in a new reality TV show, "I am so excited." "As soon as Traitors was released, I knew I'd be doing a lot of interviews, and I couldn't keep it a secret for much longer, so surprise!"
While Chastain provided hints about her pregnancy, she admitted that she was not disclosing every detail. In the same month, she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, in reference to her baby's sex, "I'm holding off a bit."
The former chief stew later reported feeling "great" despite the significant life change. During an interview with E! News in December 2022, she joked, "Honestly, I like sleeping in and I'm also a bit lazy and self-centered, so I feel like that will be an adjustment." People have reassured me that everything will be okay if I love this child as much as I love my dog.
Chastain's former colleague, Captain Lee Rosbach, commented on her pregnancy news the same month.
"I could not be happier for her. I have no doubt that she will be a wonderful mother," he told People. "She has undertaken a formidable challenge, but she is more than up to the task. And I don't recall ever seeing her so happy."
According to the captain, he was willing to assist with nearly everything, with the exception of changing diapers. I'll do many things, but I won't change diapers."
The announcement was made more than two years after Chastain's departure from Below Deck. (The reality star appeared in seasons two through seven of the popular Bravo series)
"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have chosen to make a transition this year," she wrote on Instagram in February 2020, jokingly referencing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's announcement about leaving the royal family. "I plan to step down as a senior member of the Below Deck Family and pursue financial independence while continuing to support His Majesty Andy Cohen in every way."
Before dating Below Deck co-star Ben Robinson, the TV personality was linked to athlete Ro Hernandez. Chastain remained tight-lipped about her personal life during her pregnancy.

According to Chastain, she has already received support from Brandi Glanville and other Bravo stars.
"[Brandi] has already given me great, enthusiastic parenting advice," the Florida native said of Glanville, who shares two sons with her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian. I am extremely grateful to have Brandi as my parenting coach.
Chastain took to social media in January 2023 to demonstrate her preparation for motherhood. "On my way to celebrate @jessicamore180 and baby Charli trying to get used to having my own baby in the back seat," she captioned a video on Instagram.
In the social media post, the Galley Talk star had a baby seat with a doll in the backseat of her car.
